Vocals, guitar) and Tony Larkin (vocals, guitar) ran into each other at an NYC venue. They shared similar influences (Rilo Kiley, Built to Spill, The Kinks, Grandaddy, Masters of the Hemisphere), and after a few practices it was obvious that the two of them created a complimentary and very unique sound. Beauty Sleep was later joined (after numerous disgusting and humiliating hazing rituals) by Rob DiCaterino on drums and Brian DiFeo on bass. After finishing a 5 song self-titled EP and playing at multiple venues in the New England area (Cake Shop, The Delancey, The Elevens) they were picked up by Connecticut-based label Skipping Stones Records. Beauty Sleep is currently working on their upcoming 2006 full-length release with Skipping Stones Records entitled "Songs on Tape Recorders".
