The lead song on the latest EP is a re-working of one of the stand out tracks on their 2010 album "The Lost Star". Imagine yourself back in the eighties - you’re on a huge beach in Cornwall in the middle of a beautiful British summer afternoon; the sun is high in a cloudless blue sky and the hypnotic swish of the waves helps you to dream that life is perfect. Someone in the large group of friends you are with sticks this track on at loud volume and as you all spontaneously begin to dance barefoot on the hot sand, the other holidaymakers catch onto the moment and join in, sucked in by the driving bass, shimmering melody and gorgeous male/female vocals of James Hackett and Pauline Hynds. "The Way That You Move" should really be a huge summer smash, in the way that you used to get back then. If Wham had released this song then perhaps it could just have been. The song is unashamedly disco but still manages to have The Orchids stamped all over it.

The second track is "I Just Don’t Care" which is brand new and more what you’d expect from The Orchids, a gentle pop song that signals regret in the breakdown of relationships between parent and child that have since been happily reconciled. The third song on the EP, "Placa San Sebastian" is stripped back and bare, featuring haunting piano and some beautiful harmonies. The NME once called one of the bands’ earlier albums "Sarah Records answer to the Beach Boys Pet Sounds" and this third track might go some way to answering why they made such an outrageous statement.
