FILTHY ROTTEN SEX MACHINE : Something To Die For
Filthy Rotten Sex MachineActually, “hard” doesn’t do this aggregate justice, as these guys play with such insane, jaw-dropping intensity, you wonder how they manage to get thru their set each night. The lead singer channels Iggy, the guitarist filters every memorable Chuck and Keith lick into his sui generis solos and the rhythm section beats out time with the anger and frustration of a blind man trapped in a round room. All of the filth and the fury comes at ya like a runaway freight train on this startlingly original and rather loud debut. Said debut contains sixteen original and loud tracks from a band you’d never ever even think of introducing to your mother.
But don’t take our word for it, here’s F.R.S.M. in their press release: “We are 4 guys that hang out in bars and like to spread the word of Rock thru our very own brand of Sleazy Punk Rock n' Roll. Our influences include Drinking, staying up late, beaut[y] and The New York Dolls. Okay and maybe a little Al Green...” Get the picture? It’s rock and roll the way it was meant to be: down, dirty, straight from the foul rag and boneshop of the heart.
