Love song for the dead Che
NPL were formed by Bobby Wratten, Annemari Davies and Mark Dobson after The Field Mice split in 1991. It was a much less highly-strung project, less song-based and more dark and ambient than before, drawing influence from Talk Talk, Brian Eno and ambient/dance. As a bonus you get all three tracks from Love Song for the Dead Che & the companion ep.

Re-issue of the 1993 album by the cult London band featuring three former members of The Field Mice (their entire Sarah back catalogue was re-issued through LTM on 3 CD's this winter). Northern Picture Library were formed by Bobby Wratten, Annemari Davies and Mark Dobson after The Field Mice split in 1991. NPL was a much less highly-strung project, less song-based and more dark and ambient than before, drawing influence from Talk Talk, Brian Eno and ambient/dance crossover. Melody maker described Alaska as "one of the debut albums of 1993" and the band as "state of the art, post-ambient electropoppers who write some of the most beautiful songs in existence." This embarrassment of riches is completed by all three tracks from Love Song for the Dead Che, the companion ep recorded at the same sessions. Dead Che is a cover of the song originally recorded by the United States of America. Alaska runs for 72 minutes, features 18 remastered tracks, and the booklet contains detailed biographical notes.
