2010-RELEASES, GARAGE-PUNK-ROCK-FRANCAIS

Guitarists Giom Picard and Lionel Liminana teamed up again in 2003, this time with their gals Marie Liminana (drums) and Nadège Figuerola (vocals, trumpet). Rarely playing outside of their turf, LES BELLAS released two wonderful garage-pop singles "Electrified" and "Hey, I'm Going Down" on the local Profet label in 2005.

These 4 sides got them rave reviews and an LP offer was quickly turned by a famous West Cost garage punk label in 2006. Eventually said famous label honcho flaked and by 2007 the band disintegrated. With everyone moving to some exciting new projects such as LIMINANAS, EL VICIO, HAIR & THE IOTAS or T TIME FANTASY, the BELLAS LP remained unreleased until two parisian labels SDZ and LES DISQUES STEAK decided to join forces to finally unleash this monster to the world.

BELLADELIC is LES BELLAS debut full-length LP, due for release on Sept. 1, 2010. Comprised of 10 originals and 2 ripping versions of Wanda Jackson 's "Funnel of Love" and the Gentlemen's Peebles classic "It's a Cryin' Shame", all self produced and recorded for this album, tracks include the moody "Drown" and "Ego Psycho", the rock'n'roll rollercoaster "Mistrial Blues", the fuzz epic "Got my Soul", the unforgettable "I did my Time". And then there is the warped french pop of "I love You" and "Belladelic"and the stunning horn driven byrdsian folk-rock of "Sad Morning".

With solid songwriting, subtle arrangements and great voices, LES BELLAS take a classic 60's rock'n'roll/pop sound, run it through a fuzztone blender and just do it right, bypassing all the retro crap that revival bands often get bogged in. BELLADELIC is a real grower and after a few hundred listens you'll probably find yourself, like us, playing this record (and humming to its perfect tunes) constantly.
