The Zebras' bag is a driving, jangly one, complete with subtle boy/girl harmonies and catchy singsong melodies, recalling Teenage Fanclub at their most laid-back. (self-titled debut album)

Since weaning themselves off the bucket-bong and making the move from Brisbane to Melbourne last year, a new new sense of ambition and motivation has washed over The Zebras. Now that the panic attacks have faded and the short-term memory has returned, The Zebras can now once again focus on what they do best - jamming 3 minute pop songs with too many guitars.
This new can-do attitude has also seen the band recently return from their second European tour in as many years, adding fresh Melbourne members into the lineup, and producing a new EP, entitled "New Ways of Risking Our Lives", out through local label The Lost and Lonesome Recording Company. Recorded with the help of a newly acquired insatiable appetite for tequila, the new EP features more guitars and keyboards than ever before, but now with a complementary layer of effortlessly sublime vocal lines propelling their trademark wistfully jangled sound.
