At the end of February Mark and Ben from Brown Brogues pack their bags and leave for America; I can't help but wish I was going with them. For the two Wigan lads the trip is a homecoming. Brown Brogues taut primal garage sludge has enthralled and bemused Manchester music fans over the last 12 months, but their jams couldn't be further away from the stuff you associate with the north of england. Brown Brogues take their cues from San Franciscans Thee Oh Sees, Sic Alps and Ty Segall but they make a racket that's far more base, far heavier and far sleazier than any of those bands. The three songs on this, their first seven inch are all fucking awesome and we're psyched to be releasing it.
