Initially formed in 1964 as a beat band, surviving through the excesses of psychedelia, before evolving into a Stax tinged soul outfit, their output was constant and outstanding. Whilst finding time to record under pseudonyms (Rupert's People, Shyster and Chocolate Frog), become the backing band for the late soul sensation Sharon Tandy, and fulfil commitments as in-house session band for the UK Atlantic label, The Fleur De Lys released seven 45s over a five year period; these singles are considered holy grails amongst record devotees.
